Victoria Dornelles Walk for Breast Cancer
Story
Hello friends and family!
I've created this page because I want to make a difference to the one in eight women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
As you are aware, at 31 years of age I was diagnosed with a Grade 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer. I was extremely, fit, active and had no family history of any cancer. At the time my son was only 5 months old and I thought it was just a blocked milk duct from breast feeding. Thankfully although I never expected it to be cancer, I got it checked.
I felt that this year was a good year to fundraise as I am still currently undergoing treatment and also for the reason that it is my first Mother's Day. I want to beat this challenge in my life to create and share new memories with my family.
I'm inspired by the work that National Breast Cancer Foundation do and want to help them reach their aspirational goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. I have set myself a fundraising target and I need your help to reach it. 100% of funds will be donated.
A donation of just $26 can help buy funnel web spider venom that NBCF scientists can use to test it for its potential to kill cancer cells.
Please help me help NBCF by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button.
The more people that know about National Breast Cancer Foundation, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family.
Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
