I've created this page because I want to make a difference to the one in eight women around the world who will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and many of these women will die. Without research there is no cure. The National Breast Cancer Foundation is a leading community funded organization in Australia raising money for the research into the prevention and cure for breast cancer. Be assured my non Australian friends this research is published and shared around the world and is available to academics throughout the world, so it truly does work in a global environment.

On September 20, I intend to walk the Camino Via de La Plata from Sevilla to Santiago de Compostela a total of 1000 kilometers. I will be doing this the pilgrim way, carrying my own backpack and staying in municipal hostels. There is, however a possibility I will not make it, therefore I need the encouragement of all my friends around the world.

Dear friends I am asking you to sponsor me on a kilometer basis, e.g. 1 cent/penny per kilometer 1000 kilometers = $ £ € 10.00. However no donation can be too small or large.  

I'm inspired by the work that National Breast Cancer Foundation do and want to help them reach their aspirational goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. I have set myself a challenge and a fundraising target and I need your help to reach it. Your commitment will keep me walking.

Una de cada ocho mujeres en el mundo será diagnosticada de cáncer de mama y para muchas de ellas será mortal. He creado esta página porque quiero que ésto cambie. Sin investigación no hay cura. La Fundación Nacional Australiana contra el cáncer de mama es líder y recauda dinero para la investigación, prevención y cura del cáncer de mama.Os aseguro, amigos no australianos, que la investigación es publicada y compartida globalmente  y está a disposición de todos los científicos del mundo.

Pretendo hacer el Camino de la Plata a partir del 20 de septiembre desde Sevilla hasta Santiago de Compostela, unos 1.000 kms en total. Lo haré como pregerino, llevando todo en una mochila y alojándome en albergues municipales. Aun así hay una posibilidad de que no lo consiga, por lo que necesito todo el apoyo de mis amigos de todo el mundo.

Amigos, os pido que me patrocinéis por kilómetros. Por ejemplo aportando 1 céntimo por kilómetro = 1.000 kilómetros serían 10€. De todos modos ninguna donación sería demasiado pequeña ni demasiado grande.

El trabajo de la Fundación Nacional contra el Cáncer de Mama de Australia me ha inspirado mucho, y quiero ayudarles a alcanzar su objetivo de cero muertes por cáncer de mama para el año 2030. Me he propuesto un reto y necesito vuestra ayuda para conseguirlo. Vuestro compromiso hará que pueda seguir caminando.
