Cheryl's Warriors

Story

In June this year my sister Dana and I lost our beautiful mother Cheryl to breast cancer. Nothing can truly prepare you for the pain and loss you feel when cancer takes your mum from you. No one should have to go through it.

Sadly, breast cancer has or will affect many of our lives in some way. This devastating disease claims the lives of thousands of women around the world every year.

So in tribute to our beautiful mother, and with the support of our family and friends, we have formed a team and set ourselves a physical challenge to raise money to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation, and help make a difference to the one in eight women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

Team - Cheryl’s Warriors

Challenge - Spartan Sprint Race in Bright on Nov 17th 2018: 8km+ race through 20+ obstacles held in

Bright Victoria in November. There will be plenty of climbing, crawling, carrying, running and mud to contend with. The kids – Cheryl’s Little Warriors - will be running a 2km course.

The team want to do this challenge to help support the NBCF reach their aspirational goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. But, even if the money we raise helps prevent one woman from losing her life to breast cancer, and one family from losing their mum/wife/partner/daughter/sister/aunty/cousin/friend from this horrible disease, then it’s so worth it.

We have set ourselves a challenge and a fundraising target and we need your help to reach it. Please show your support for your friends/family that are completing/supporting this challenge and help us help stop women dying from breast cancer.

A donation of just $26 can help buy funnel web spider venom that NBCF scientists can use to test it for its potential to kill cancer cells.

We appreciate any donation you can give, no matter how small... every little bit helps towards supporting this vital life-changing breast cancer research. Be a part of making this happen.

The more people that know about the National Breast Cancer Foundation, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing our page with your friends and family.

Your generosity and support means the world to us.

In memory of you mum, Cheryl's Warriors xxx

National Breast Cancer Foundation

The National Breast Cancer Foundation is the only national body that funds life-changing breast cancer research with money raised entirely by the Australian public. Research is the only way to prevent deaths, and improve how breast cancer is diagnosed, managed and treated. By funding only world-class research, the National Breast Cancer Foundation is working towards a goal of zero deaths from breast cancer.
